“One Desire Fast” is a period we as part of HMCC HK, want to dedicate in the beginning of the year to grow our desire for God. This year, we will fast from 2 Feb 2025 to 13 Feb 2025, where we fast from food, social media and other things to shift our focus to God and discern where He wants to lead us.
This year, our One Desire Fast (ODF) theme is “Simple Pursuit“. This is our theme because we want our church to create the time and space to simply pursue God, as aligned with our church theme (“Pursue“).
The Educational Resource Team and Intercessory Prayer Team partnered together to create this 12 days devotional to help us connect with God. As we pursue God, His Kingdom, and His mission, we often make things about doing tasks so we can achieve certain results. Instead of having all these other desires that complicate our faith life and pulls us away from God, we want to strip things down so that we simply pursue God by aligning our hearts with Him. Our hope is for each member of our church to respond personally to how God is speaking to us so that we can truly pursue what is in God’s heart.
